Grandma and Grampa came for a little visit this weekend. Grandpa (with his usual flair for words) described the weekend at our house as authentic, "... like seeing animals in their natural habitat, rather than seeing them in a zoo." Hmmmmm .....
Max played lots of chess with Grampa
This guy is a MACHINE at chess! Wow!
He also beat us all at a round of Go Fish (once he learned to keep his cards secret!)
Grandma took Cate shopping for some new dance clothes.
We all enjoyed watching her twirl!
... and I went a little nuts with my camera :)
Daddy got some Cate love (like he does every day)
Only it was even cuter with the dance clothes on
We had pizza night
The kids had A LOT of fun with Grampa's cane!
And Grampa finally completed his 3 year mission to win over the princess.
So, it was a great weekend! Now, to go find those cages ... ;)

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!! That Grampa SURE did hit the nail on the head... But did he specify WHICH species? I'm imagining those baboons with the bright red butts!
