Somewhere way back in the recesses of my pre-mommy brain, I remember hearing (in a developmental psychology class or something) that play is a child's work. Random, I know. And not very deep. But this thought always pops into my mind when I see one of my kids intensely focused on whatever he/she is playing. Both Max and Cate can really get into their play! It's not uncommon for me to go down to the playroom and see something like this:
microwaving a bottle in a bicycle helmet
chatting on the phone
putting away groceries
Keeping with the theme of comparing Max and Cate (SO wrong, I know!), seeing Cate being such a busy body in Max's old giraffe shirt reminded me of this picture of Max in that shirt ... classic Max!
