Max completed his first round of swimming lessons last week. He came a long way in just 8 short sessions! When he first began, he was hesitant to get his head in the water, and wouldn't jump in without help. By the end, not only was he jumping in by himself, he was yelling SUPER CANNONBALL! as he did it!
The goggles have helped a lot!
(Max also believes that his swimming trunks and swim shirt have super floating powers that help him stay afloat, so we're sunk if we ever have to go swimming in anything but these.)

After each thing he did in the pool, Max would look over at me and give his performance a rating. The thumb to the side means it was a mediocre performance ...
thumbs up means it was GREAT!
Max is doing so well, but he still has a ways to go before he is really swimming on his own. I signed him up for a second round of lessons in May. His confidence is high! He may doing it by the end of round 2!
