Well, today was the big day -- our big boy's first day of Kindergarten! What a great day! I woke Max up super early (because like his mom, he is not exactly a mover and a shaker in the morning). He had his specially requested breakfast of Cocoa Pebbles and bananas in bed. Then we listened to some Kidz Bop while getting dressed and brushing teeth. We even put a little of Jake's hair product in his hair (which, by the way, looked way cooler after these pictures were taken once he messed it up a bit). The drop-off was hard on me, but Max looked wide-eyed and ready to go. Picking him up was the best! He was (as usual) full of info -- mostly very useful rules like "You may NOT look under the door of the bathroom stall when someone is going to the bathroom next door to you in there," and "NO straws allowed in the cafeteria, unless they come attached to a juice box." He was also very excited about his cubby and his take-home folder (full of forms for me to fill out). He says he hasn't really made friends with anyone yet, but I'm sure he will very soon. Congratulations on a great first day of Kindergarten, Max! We love you!
