Some things about Cate ~ Cate is much more than princesses and the color pink!! For starters, Cate is an observer. She notices EVERYTHING - every nuance about the way people speak and interact. She is not a showy, "look at me!" type person so it is always a real treat to spy her in her room or outside by herself imitating one of her characters down to the smallest detail. Cate is also extremely sensitive, loving, and kind with her friends and (of course) with any animal. She is such a sensitive little person! I sometimes find myself floored at how Cate can be moved to tears by the thought that Max or someone else that she loves is hurt. What a gift ! One of my other most favorite things about Cate is her free-spiritedness. What Cate decides to do, she does with total abandon! (rolling in the grass, splashing in puddles, dancing or singing anywhere...) And what she decides not to do, she cannot be talked into doing. She is her own little person with her own little beat and I love that about her! Cate also has a super silly side that she has been showing quite a lot lately. I do believe there is no greater sound in this entire world than the sound of this girl's laughter! (except, possibly, the sound of Max and Cate laughing together. That is pretty awesome!)
