Back in the fall (when I was too busy to blog), Max learned to ride a bike without training wheels! It was amazing how quickly he did it! One day after school, we picked up this little junky old bike (no kidding - this thing was a PIECE!). I gave him a push, and he was off! I guess it was just time :)
Since then, he's been riding the junky old bike. He's been a sport about it, but I knew that he would LOVE a new bike &, let's face it, he deserves one! So, we finally went out and got him the "perfect bike" last week. Max described it that way on account of it's awesome design, it's trick pedestals (not sure what those are really called), it's hand brakes, and it's kick-stand. What more could a person ask for??
Since the arrival of the new bike, Max has been riding it every day, showing off his tricks (& freaking me out w/ them!) He especially likes to ride his bike in the evenings because ... get this ... "it helps [him] unwind."
I love him :)
Funny enough, the first thing Max wanted to do when we brought the bike home was not ride the bike. First, he wanted to make a sign to put on his old bike to give it away ... immediately!
"FREE BIKE (Attachments may be needed do to sertain problems)"
His best trick so far: one-handed w/ eyes closed! (eeek!)

If Max could teach me to ride a bike that'd be awesome! Can't wait to visit!
Mego - you are probably about the right size for his bike. Let's give it a try when you visit!!! ;D
The new bike is CRAZY AWESOME Congratuloation Max. The trick pedals are called Posts. Wait till he really learns to use them; It'll scare your eyelids open.
Simon loved to do tricks on a bike like this.
Ramps and halfpipes are next Good luck to us all.
