The weekend of the pumpkin!

This weekend was all about the pumpkin! Pumpkin carving, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin pie ... love it!

I asked Jake to get a large pumpkin from the store (our one from the pumpkin patch already rotted :( ) and he came back with this prize-winning gourd. Big enough for two faces, for sure. Mine is pictured above, Max's below

I found a pattern with Blue (of Blues Clues fame) and was all set to carve that on my side for Cate, until Max scolded me: "Mom! If you do that, Cate will never learn that Halloween is supposed to be about spooky, scary stuff." The boy had a point :)

... and this AMAZING pumpkin pie. WOW! This will not be lasting long!
