Ever since Max's pre-school graduation in May, he's been asking if we could go get him a new backpack for kindergarten :) (In case you don't currently have a kid in school, backpacks are a BIG deal ... a VERY BIG deal!) I told him back then that backpacks weren't big in the stores in May, but we'd keep an eye out for the perfect one in July/August when they started stocking them. I was a little worried this might take a while because Max had a pretty specific vision: (1) it had to be "rock out" (2) it had to have lots of functional compartments and (3) it had to have a clip on lunch box. We were so excited when we happened upon the perfect one at the GAP on a quickie trip the mall the other day!
skulls and crossbones = rock out!
Max didn't waste any time personalizing his new bag and lunchbox.

That is so cute! I remember getting so excited as a kid picking out THE perfect backpack for school. It was always so much fun! I'm glad you all found the perfect one! Way to go Gap Kids!
lol! I tried to convince him we needed you to monogram his name on it, but he wanted it to stay *exactly* like it is! :)
