Max and Grampa making up a story about Wall-E
A couple of weeks ago, we took a family trip down to Mathews, Virgina to visit Grandma and Grampa on their boat. We were really lucky to have a beautiful day out on the water, and the rainy day turned out to be fun, too! With a can of cat food, some frozen squid, and a superman fishing pole, we managed to catch some crab. The "fishing police" even showed up to . . . uh . . . congratulate us on our catch :) On that rainy night, we hit one of my dad's favorite restaurants in Mathews, where they had costumes, a fun band, and some amazing chocolate cake! The highlight of the trip was, of course, our finally "setting sail"! Though we were not actually on a sailboat, Max had been begging to set sail for days and days before he finally got his chance to be a boat captain for real. With a little help from autopilot (shhhh .. . don't tell Max!) Max did a great job steering the boat out on the water and he even helped to get us back to shore in the dark (Not an easy task!) A good time was had by all and the kids left with memories that I'm sure will last a lifetime. Thanks Grandma and Grampa!
