We spent this morning getting in the holiday spirit by putting up the Christmas decorations (I can't believe it's December already!) As in years past, Max helped me put up the tree. (This is a very elaborate process involving branch sorting, fluffing, and placement. We've both gotten really good at it over the years) Once the tree and lights were up, we let Cate out of her ball pit ("baby jail" as Jake calls it :) so she could help with the decorations. Poor Cate! She wanted to help so much! Unfortunately, eating the decorations isn't really a tradition we'd like to encourage. Maybe next year, sweetie!

"This one will be perfect right here!"
""Please get Cate away from my stool!"
"I'm just happy to be out of baby jail."
"That one should go right over there..."
"Now Cate, let me teach you a few things about packing peanuts..."
"Nothing to see here!"
