After a whirlwind of pre-easter egg hunts, parties, and get togethers (pics to come), we had the most beautiful and peaceful Easter day! The kids woke up to full Easter baskets and confetti Easter eggs hidden all over the yard! The confetti eggs were a fun surprise after the many MANY candy-filled eggs they'd acquired over the previous week. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the confetti egg fight that ensued, but it happened lightning fast and I was a major target. I had to put all my efforts toward self-defense :)
After church, we headed out for a picnic on what could not have been a more gorgeous afternoon! We had sunshine, blue skies, bubbles, swings, ducks, laughing children, and a bucket full of Popeyes fried chicken - all of the ingredients of the perfect day!
