New dresses, pillowpet parties, toadsitting, and more!

Well, I haven't been all that motivated to blog lately, but Max's interest in my blog and his latest post have reminded me that it is worthwhile. I suppose the big news here this week, in addition to Max's toothless grin, is that the sun came out - whooooooo hooooooo!!!!!!! It may be only temporary, and it may still be only 58 degrees, but we will take it! We have been cloistered up indoors for too many months! I mean, seriously, when the sun finally came out last weekend it was like our minds needed time to adjust to the idea that we could actually go out our front door and into the light. We were all squinting like mice, walking around wondering what in the world to do with our newfound freedom. Cate decided to dance around in circles with her friend Orly for a while, and then somehow (in a real life pillowpet commercial) she, Max, and Orly all pulled out their beloved pillowpets for a (pretend) nap in the sun.

They needed the tarp because they (the divas) decided the grass was too itchy :)
In the following days, we became more and more comfortable in the outdoors. Here's Cate livin' it up on the swings in a new dress that she got from her Hunny (paired with her fav Hello Kitty boots and Tinkerbell sunglasses):

I'm quite sure this little fella is seeing more action here than he ever has in his little amphibian life ... poor guy!

Those are live crickets in that red container, so we've had some "exciting" times with those ...
Last but not least, I have some more cute pictures of Cate modeling another new dress from Hunny - perfect for Valentine's Day!!

There is something about her eyes in this picture that just looks so grown up to me. I think this is what she will look like when she is 13. Why does she look like this already???

Come visit! We have plenty of sun to spare! You can tell Carolina was born in Seattle because she always yells when the sun is too bright;)

Love those new dresses and Mr. Toad. I think i need to lay out in the yard with a pillow pet. Sounds dreamy!
