With Cate and her love for people in giant, furry costumes in mind, we made reservations for the character lunch at the Crystal Palace. Of course, by the time we got there for our lunch, she was in a Disney World coma:
Max is exceedingly too cool for the character lunch (as demonstrated below):
That being the case (and me manning the camera), there was only one person left to enjoy the character photo opps - Daddy:
Cate has really enjoyed looking at those pictures of Daddy with the characters since we got home! Here are a few more favorites of mine:
The last one reminds me of my favorite vacation moment with Max: There were several nights when our hotel put on an awesome pool party at night w/ fireworks, popcorn and a movie by the pool! In general, Cate and Jake had thrown in the towel by then, but Max and I were determined to take full advantage. (I should also mention that Max has been all about hot tubs since reading the Wimpy Kid books, which taught him that the hot tub is THE place to be in the summer ...) So, we are sitting in the hot tub one evening enjoying a SPECTACULAR fireworks show right in front of us, when Max says: "Now THIS is what I call 'Disney Wonder'!!!!!!"
... where he gets this stuff, I will never know, but take my word for it, it was perfectly hilarious!
Oh! Here is one of Max getting in the hot tub for the first time on vacation. It looks like a page straight out of the Wimpy Kid series!!
