Christmas 2012!

This Christmas was another memorable one for our family!  Max and Cate are at the most fun possible ages for all things Christmassy, and the joy and excitement here on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was bubbling over!

Max was on a mission this Christmas to land some solid proof of Santa, which made for a pretty entertaining Christmas Eve set-up.  He had a video camera ready to set up, a note that he had written down some questions on, and a notepad to write down the answers.  He also had a plan to sleep right next to the fire place so that he would definitely be woken up by any movement taking place in that area.  Of course, little sis wanted to be a  part of the action too, so before I knew it, they had both made big sleeping areas in the living room.  The bean bags were sort of an early Christmas present from us - not really intended to be, but it's pretty hard to hide beanbags this size in our house, so the gig was up pretty early :)

... In the end, they both had A LOT of trouble getting to sleep down there, and decided they would do better in their own beds.  When they woke up, they discovered that Santa had come! He had left more presents than either of them knew what to do with, as well as a note and a follow-up email!

Cate got the Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle that she had been wanting for SO long, and had asked Santa for numerous time, unwavering in her wish. It was as magical as she knew it would be!

She went right up to get her princess dolls from her room and get started!

This poor girl cannot keep her britches up to save her life!  Not sure what the issue is there, but the moon is always shining at the Harper house :D

Max's big gift was a bunch of video games (surprise!) that he really wanted.  Pokemon White 2 was on the top of his list!

This is not really something to brag about here, but he actually played so much Pokemon the other day, that he got what he refers to as "gamers eye".  Don't ask.

Jake's favorite gift was definitely this Pollo Campero shirt from his sister, Angela.  It's a long story, but way back when we went to Disney World with Angela and her family, Jake fell in love with happy chicken on the Pollo Campero sign and we looked all over for a shirt, but couldn't find one.  Leave it to Angela!

Max also got a shirt that he had been eyeing.  Legos + Tacos = Pure Awesomeness!

Each of the kids got a game or two this Christmas, and it has been so fun for me to watch them play games together!

Well, that's about the extent of my pictures for this Christmas!  I smile every time I look at them :) I'll have to find a way to share the email that one of Santa's elves sent to Max that included pictures of his workshop and reindeer.  It was amazing!
