Our sign

As most of you know by now,  Jake is out of a job as of next month.  Of course, this was difficult news for him and he reacted as any normal person would -- by driving to the nearest Home Depot, buying a 'For Sale' sign, and planting it in our yard, singing all the while: This is the endddddd. My only frienddddd, the enddddd.... No, sadly, I am not kidding.   That is his sense of humor, though.  He really is handling it quite well and I'm very proud of him and all that he's doing to get our family through what we hope will just be a little bump along life's road.  

So, for all of our peeps in the neighborhood who are flippin', don't flip!  We have no intention of moving as of now.  The sign is (1) a coping tool for Jake and (2) an effort to start generating some interest in our house just in case Jake's not able to get another job here in Knoxville and we do end up having to move later down the line.  Should that end up being the case, we will interview all potential buyers to make sure they are worthy of living in this neighborhood, and you will be invited to participate in this screening process ;-)  

For our family and friends in Texas, you'll be happy to know that Texas is figuring prominently into the job search, as well.  Who knows?  Maybe this whole thing will turn out to be our sign that it is time to come back home.  Stay tuned!
